Nokia launches five new products

SINGAPORE: Nokia unveiled five new products for different consumer segments,

strengthening its mid-range portfolio in WCDMA, GSM and CDMA protocol at the
'Nokia Connection 2006', here in Singapore.






The renewed category model is based on its consumer study. The study, with 42000
interviews with consumers in 16 countries across the globe, provided the

insights for Nokia's new renewed products.






Robert Andersson, executive vice-president, customer market operations, Nokia,
said, "This is an integral part of Nokia's strategy to connect the next

billion mobile users, to realise the potential of digital and internet

convergence, to bring about enterprise mobility and to address new business

models to capture new growth."






The new Nokia 6151 is a WCDMA enabled phone with a 1.3 megapixel camera, which
offers 3G model is priced at 240 Euros without taxes. Another new addition is

the Nokia 6080 targets one's lifestyle needs. Priced at 180 Euros, this product

will be shipped in the fourth quarter this year. Adding to Nokia's entry

portfolio is the new Nokia 1110i with features for messaging and time

management.






To meet the demands of the CDMA markets, Nokia introduced Nokia 6275, a mid
range model that has 2 megapixel camera. Other phone that introduced in this

range includes Nokia 2875, which offers video streaming, video ring tones, FM

radio with 1.3 megapixel camera. Along with this, Nokia also introduced Content

Discoverer on-device portal, embedded in Nokia devices on S60 and Series 40

currently available in the worldwide market, as the core technology platform for

enhanced discovery and download of global and localised mobile content and

applications.






Nokia content discoverer affords mobile subscribers easy access to download
content through a collection of shopping mall stores run by their mobile network

operator, leading content aggregators and content providers.
