Nokia launches mid-ranged handset in India

MUMBAI: Nokia today launched its mid-ranged handset Nokia 6300 in India.

The handset is equipped with features like 16.7 million color screen, a 2 megapixel camera with 8X Zoom, e-mail capabilities, built-in MP3 player and FM radio.

Weighing 91 grams and measuring less than 13.1mm thin, it is targeted at consumers aspiring for both style and feature rich capabilities.

“A perfect blend of ‘style with substance’, Nokia 6300 is well proportioned and offers an uncompromised set of features with highly desirable, sophisticated design,” said Sunil Dutt, director (Sales), Nokia India, at the launch in Kolkata.

Nokia India also announced a scheme wherein the first 2500 consumers can get their names etched on the phone, choosing from a range of stylized fonts and designs.
