Unveiling the new devices, Mary McDowell, executive vice president, Mobile Phones, Nokia, said, “As per our deep consumer insights, entry level consumers need dual SIMs for various reasons including economizing time and costs, improving efficiency and for increased convenience. To address these consumer requirements, Nokia has launched these two devices that offer multiple SIM capabilities with a balanced feature set and ‘relevant innovations’ at affordable price points.

Nokia C1 will be available at an MRP of Rs 1999 and will be the first Nokia mobile phone to feature a 2-in-1 SIM solution.  Nokia C1 owners will greatly benefit from the ‘call divert’ feature in the new phone, which will ensure that they never miss a call from either of the two SIMs. Moreover, by simply holding down a key, people will be able to switch between the two SIM cards in the phone.

Nokia C1 owners will also benefit from a standby battery time of up to six weeks, the longest ever for a Nokia mobile phone, especially useful in those parts of the country where access to electricity is sometimes limited. The standard flashlight - often someone's only means of bright light - is paired with a vivid color screen and FM radio with standard headphone jack, meaning the Nokia C1 is as much about entertainment as it is about convenience.

Nokia C2 comes with Nokia’s innovative services including Ovi Life Tools and Ovi Mail. Nokia's Ovi Life Tools provides consumers a wide range of information covering healthcare, agriculture, education and entertainment, whereas Ovi Mail offers email accounts for the developing world. The Nokia C2 also makes listening to music simple with the FM radio and music player and a provides a huge music storage as the phone supports micro-SD cards of up to 32GB.
