Nokia E75 to bank on Messaging Service

BANGALORE, INDIA: Nokia's E 75, the new E Series debutant, will bank on its integrated e-mail service. And to bring all emails to one inbox the company plans to tie-up with all major mail service providers and the cellular phone service providers.

“Today, 90 per cent of corporate inboxes are powered by IBM and  Microsoft. We have tied up with these majors among other web mail service providers,” said Jasmeet Gandhi, head - services, Nokia India here today.

The Nokia E 75 will support all features of Nokia Messaging Service, which include an array of third-party e-mails solutions, like: Gmail, Yahoo, Rediffmail, Hotmail among others. The handset displays alerts for up to two email accounts on the home-screen, ensures quick navigation and switching between email accounts and displays the first line of the mail under the subject line.

Gandhi said Nokia was in talks with all major cellular service providers in India to support the Nokia Messaging Service on E 75.

The enhanced email UI in E 75 includes folder and HTML email support, expandable views and sorting capability by date, sender and size as well as the most commonly used email functions with just a single click.

Another notable feature on E 75 is its ability to support full integration among contacts, email, home screen and calendar. It provides the ability to create and respond to meeting requests, contacts  lookup and auto-complete.

The new handset also comes with full desktop email functionality also with both standard keypad and QWERTY keypad to give an ease-of-use experience to consumers across categories.
