Nokia E72 launched in India

BANGALORE, INDIA: Nokia, on Tuesday announced that it has unveiled the new addition to its Eseries range, Nokia E72, a device tailor-made for business and personal messaging.

The Nokia E72 comes with Nokia’s push consumer email service, Nokia Messaging and onboard clients for Mail for Exchange and IBM Lotus Notes Traveler.  It is available in the Indian market and features 2 colors, viz., Zodium Black and Topaz Brown priced at Rs. 22,989/

Vineet Taneja, marketing director, Nokia India said, “Today consumers are looking for solutions that give them flexibility to manage time in a way that they can juggle and balance both work and life. They are looking for ways to connect with their friends and peers while on the go which has led to proliferation of email on mobile.”

He added, “With the latest Nokia E72, consumers will be able to accommodate multiple work and personal email accounts and, with separate profiles for work and play, which will allow people to be flexible when it comes to choosing how, when, where and who to respond to.”

Nokia E72 includes an Opti NAVI Key for more intuitive scrolling through menus, emails and fast panning of images. Conversations are also clearer with active noise cancellation, and a torch can be activated with a single press of the spacebar key, said the release.

The office capabilities have been updated with a new version of Quickoffice, which delivers Microsoft Office 2007 compatibility as well as free version upgrades when new features become available.  Nokia E72 has 5 megapixel camera and a standard 3.5 mm audio jack. The handset comes with A-GPS and compass with integrated maps.
