In addition, he will be attending an exclusive gathering of CEOs in Mumbai.

Commenting on his India visit, D Shivakumar, Vice President and Managing Director, Nokia India said, "India has emerged as the fastest growing telecom market in the world and the fourth largest market in Asia.  Mobility has, and will continue to create multiple ecosystems, value domains, new markets and newer ways of driving personal productivity and business efficiencies. Nokia set up its operations in India in 1995, and since then has played a pivotal role in the development of the mobile infrastructure in the country. The first-ever cellular call over 12 years ago was made on a Nokia mobile phone over a Nokia-deployed network.

Today Nokia’s commitment to India stands unparalleled with one of the largest retail and distribution network across the country, three Research and Development centers, robust local manufacturing at Sriperumbudur and a Design Studio in Bangalore. The company has grown manifold over the years and today employs over 6000 people.
