The CS-Series is compatible with Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL Server, VMware, and Microsoft HyperV environments.

"The cost and complexity of storage and back-up are exhausting resources in the enterprise. IT staff are tapped, and many say they don't have time and budget to deploy a disaster recovery solution," said Varun Mehta, CEO and co-founder of Nimble Storage.

The CS-Series is available in two configurations:

CS220 9TB primary and 108TB for 60-90 days of integrated back-up), and

CS240 (18TB primary and 216TB back-up).

All-inclusive pricing starts under $3/GB (usable) for primary storage and $0.25/GB for back-up storage. The Nimble CS-Series will be generally available from next month onwards.
