NIIT Q4 rev touches Rs 98.09 crore

NEW DELHI: NIIT Limited has reported revenues of Rs 98.09 crore for Q4 ended September 30, 2002, as compared to Rs 85.74 crore in the quarter ended June 30, 2002. Profit After Tax (before provisions) of Rs 7.07 crore was 150 percent higher Quarter on Quarter (q-o-q) as compared to Rs 2.8 crore in the previous quarter.



The fourth quarter results for the quarter ended September 30, 2002 were taken on record at the meeting of the Board of Directors of NIIT at New Delhi on December 6, 2002. NIIT reported Global revenues (NIIT Ltd and its subsidiaries) of Rs 243.1 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2002. The Global Revenue for Q4 was up 26 percent q-o-q, Learning Business logged in Rs 121 crore; up 32 percent QoQ and nine percent YoY.



Software Services revenues stood at Rs 112.8 crore, up 17 percent QoQ. The Global Software Services component of NIIT Technologies stood at Rs 112.8 crore, up 17 percent QoQ. Lead indicators like the order intake for Software Services has also grown steadily over the last six quarters. NIIT had posted a steady increase in the order book from $ 18 million in Q1 to $ 29 million in Q2, $ 33 million in Q3 and $33.1 million in Q4. The enrolments in Learning business grew 22 percent in Q4 to 132,262.



For the 12-month period ending September 30, 2002, NIIT posted global brand revenues of Rs 799.5 crore against Rs 1,139 crore posted in the corresponding period last year. In view of the strong future potential of the two businesses, the Board has recommended to maintain the dividend at Rs 4.50 per equity share of Rs 10.



International business contributed Rs 420.05 crore of NIIT’s annual revenues while Rs 379.4 crore was contributed by India geography. Americas contributed Rs 214.2 crore with Rs 107 crore coming in from Europe. This was followed by Rs 98.8 crore from Asia Pacific. Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific geographies contributed to 51%, 25% and 24% of the international revenues for the year respectively.
