NHS Wales Informatics rethinks integration platform

LONDON, UK: NHS Wales Informatics Service has selected Fiorano Software to provide the replacement of its current integration platform. NHS Wales is deploying the Fiorano solution to intelligently integrate its national systems, such as the Welsh Clinical Portal, Test Requesting and Results Reporting as well as providing multi-agency integration with a variety of NHS Wales organizations, an announcement shared.

The NHS Wales Informatics Service required an intelligent, distributed architecture with centralised management and control which is provided through Fiorano's peer to peer architecture. Fiorano's system, as explained, will provide NHS Wales with the tools to speedily provide integration services which will enable access to patient information by health professionals, where and when it is needed, regardless of healthcare setting or location.
