Nexus Computers launches first overseas venture

NEW DELHI: Nexus Computers Pvt. Ltd., India and V One Multimedia Pte. Ltd.,

Singapore have jointly set up business operations in Singapore under the banner

of Nexus Global Systems Pte. Ltd. (NGS). This is a 60-40 joint venture with

Nexus Computers as the major partner. The new company commenced operations in

May 2001.

Nexus Global Systems has been incorporated with a view to meet the growing

information technology requirements of the SME and large enterprise markets in

Singapore and the Asia Pacific region. The company is focused on business

solutions in three areas - Networking, Software and Implementation Services.

"We are greatly enthused by the enormous demand for high performance and

cost effective networking solutions in Singapore and the Asia Pacific region. We

are addressing these needs by drawing on the know-how and implementation skills

of a highly talented team of technology consultants from India and

Singapore," says T.S. Tan, CEO of NGS. In its goal to offer customers

high-quality and cost effective networks that are dependable, scalable and

secure, NGS will draw on Nexus Computers' traditional strengths in networking

and its strategic alliances with world IT majors such as IBM, COMPAQ and CISCO,

to name a few. In its business development efforts, NGS will benefit from V

One's worldwide network of sales offices and business channels. With sound

technological abilities and a considerable regional presence, NGS seems set to

succeed in its aims.

The Board of Directors comprises of T.S. Tan, CEO, Michael Lemaire (Kalya),

director and Sunaina Mandeen, director. T. S. Tan, who is also CEO of V One

Multimedia, was the co-founder and chairman of Dazzle Multimedia, California.

Michael Lemaire and Sunaina Mandeen are co- founders of Nexus Computers, India.

V One Multimedia Pte Ltd., incorporated in June 1997, is headquartered in

Singapore and has leading-edge skills in storage and network technology,

networking services, high-end server solutions, software development and IT

support services.
