According to a report on Android Authority, the new Android version has shown up in Google Analytics data. Android Authority has apparently tracked down some visits to its website showing up in Google Analytics as coming from Android 4.2 devices like Nexus 7, Galaxy Nexus, Xperia Arc S and Samsung Galaxy Y.

If the rumors are true, it might disappoint a group of Indian Android enthusiasts who were pitching for the next Android version to be named Kaju Katli.

Annkur P Agarwal, the man who is running a campaign called 'Join 'The Kaju Katli for Android', is planning to send Larry Page (co-founder of Google) and Andy Rubin (co-founder of Android) a box of the Indian sweet along with a letter signed by supporters from India pitching for the next Android version to be called Kaju Katli.

''We want to Thank Google for the wonderful gift to mobile computing! But at the same time, also ask - why this Kolaveri with India?,'' says a message on the website supporting the campaign.

Google generally names Android versions after sweet dishes and releases them in alphabetical order.

After Cupcake, Donut, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean, the next version should start with the letter 'K'.

So, what do you want the next Android version to be called? Kaju Katli or Key Lime Pie? Do let us know.
