NEW DELHI: DishnetDSL Ltd, an enterprise of Sterling Infotech Ltd, has launched Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) service in the Grand Paradi residential complex at Kemps Corner in Mumbai. According to DishnetDSL, this broad-band access in India is up to 140 times faster than the fastest analog modems available today, and keeps subscribers effectively 'always on' at a fraction of the cost of other comparative technologies.

DishnetDSL has plans to establish a strong nationwide infrastructure offering a range of Internet services within the span of a year. In addition to extensively expanding its service network in Mumbai, DishnetDSL plans to introduce its services in more 50 cities in India within the next six months.

The VSAT network has been established between the WAN Competency Center at PwC's Technology Center at Calcutta and the Bharti BT hub station in Bangalore. "Through this unique alliance, we will be able to help businesses choose the required bandwidth to get optimum response time over the WAN," said PwC director Amitabh Ray.
