Silverline names CEO, new co-CEO in place



NEW YORK: Indian software firm Silverline Technologies Ltd. on Thursday said it
had created an office of the chief executive, naming a co-CEO and changing the

chairman's role to give him more involvement in the company's operations.

Silverline said it named Ravi Singh as co-chief executive officer. Singh,

formerly chief financial officer of Seranova Inc., will work with Shankar Iyer,

current Silverline CEO and president. Chairman Ravi Subramanian's title was

changed to executive chairman with the intent to be more involved in overseeing

the company's operations, Silverline said in a statement. The appointments take

VIA launches VIA C3 E-series processor

HSBC opens second call center in Hyderabad



HYDERABAD: HSBC has opened its second call center in Hyderabad. Furthermore HSBC
Electronic Data Processing India (HDPI), a wholly owned subsidiary of HSBC will

set up call centers for its UK, US and UAE clients for back office operations in

the city of Hyderabad. HDPI is looking forward to setting up three call centers.

"Initially we are employing around 60 people for our operations here, but

this figure would gradually increase as we get more clients," said, Zarir J

Cama, CEO for the company's Indian operations. The company has invested between

$ 15 million - $ 20 million in the processing operations. The new center is the

largest processing center for HSBC and the most advanced using an image
