Newgen to showcase cheque truncation solutions

BANGALORE: Newgen Software Technologies Ltd, provider of Business
Process Management (BPM), Document Management and Imaging solutions, has kicked
off a roadshow in association with Microsoft to demonstrate the cheque
truncation solutions. Newgen is the first vendor to offer Cheque Truncation
Solutions in India.

With an objective to demonstrate the benefits of cheque
truncation, Newgen is organizing a road-show in Bangalore on May 12 and 13,
2005 where CIOs of all leading banks in Bangalore and rest of South India will
attend and see the demonstration of Newgen's solution. RBI regional
director Devaki Muthu Krishnan will also address the gathering.

Cheque truncation allows processing of cheques to be done
based on electronic images of cheques and cuts out the flow of paper cheques
completely for outward as well as inward clearing. This leads to faster
clearance, higher efficiencies and better-managed operations.

Speaking on the roadshow, Newgen sales and marketing VP
Punit Jain said, "Cheque truncation is a revolutionary trend worldwide and
will transform the working of the banking industry in India. Newgen is the
first Indian company to bring in technology to support Cheque Truncation. It is
the first time that Cheque Truncation Solutions are being demonstrated in Bangalore.
