Newark element14 offers M.2 product line from TE Connectivity

CHICAGO, USA: Newark element14 is now offering TE Connectivity's new M.2 product line, which features a next-generation form factor.

The line is an expanded offering beyond the mini card and half mini card as the M.2 product line saves more than 20 percent of PCB real estate compared to those products.

The new smaller form factor is suitable for applications in new thin platforms and supports multiple function add-in cards and modules including: WiFi, Bluetooth, Global Navigation Satellite Systems, Near Field Communication, Hybrid Digital Radio, Wireless Gigabit Alliance (WiGig), Wireless Wide Area Network and Solid-State Storage Devices. It also adds functionality to PCIe Gen 3, SATA 3, SATA I/O and USB 3.
