New Panasonic projectors for home users

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Targeting home users, Panasonic has announced the launch of its first Full HD 3D home theater projector PT-AE7000 and Full HD LCD Home Theater Projector: PT-AR100

The PT-AE7000 is also world's first 3D projector to use transparent LCD panels driven at 480Hz.

According to Panasonic, the newly-developed optical engine, which produces an incredible 300,000:1 contrast ratio and 2,000 lumens of brightness to give natural clarity and sharpness to details results in more natural, life-like expression. The PT-AE7000 delivers both stunning 2D images and a comfortable and immersive 3D viewing experience at home.

The company claims that the newly launched, 2D to 3D image conversion is simplified, with five 3D effect modes to select from. The PT-AE7000 uses frame sequential technology for 3D image projection and comes equipped with a built-in 3D transmitter that lets the user enjoy large-screen 3D images with optional eyewear.

The new projector comes with an intelligent power management system that reduces the lamp power to the exact required level of brightness depending on the content being displayed. This advanced analysis process reduces the main power consumption by as much as 10 percent when the Dynamic Iris function is operating, thus saving energy. Other ecological considerations include an off-timer that reduces wasteful power consumption, an extremely low standby power consumption of 0.08 watts, and a 4,000 hour (normal mode)/5,000 hour (eco mode) lamp life.

Panasonic PT-AE7000 is available in the market for Rs.250,000/- and is backed by two years  warranty.

PT-AR100

It is a Full High-Definition LCD Home Theater Projector which comes with 1080p (1,920 x 1,080 pixel) resolution and feature 2,800 lumens of brightness and a 50,000:1 contrast ratio that lets the users enjoy Full-HD large screen entertainment from movies, sports to video games with vivid, clear and stunning video content.

The projector also features seven picture modes for various viewing situations, including modes that are ideal for sports, games and movies. Movies can be enjoyed in Cinema 1 mode that has been tuned carefully to faithfully express the director’s artistic intent. In Sports mode, together with the Motion Effect feature, the PT-AR100 detects and extenuates detail on moving objects, resulting in intensified action with clearer, more highlighted players. Game mode improves signal processing for better response, allowing the user to play games with minimal stress.

According to the company, PT-AR100 also provides superior picture quality by employing Dynamic Iris Pro and Pure Color Filter Pro to achieve an astounding contrast ratio of 50,000:1, providing a wide dynamic range with swift smoothness for added beauty in both dark and bright scenes. Detail Clarity Processor 3 and Motion Effect give natural clarity to even the finest details and add smoothness and sharpness to fast-moving scenes. The PT-AR100 supports VIERA Link that provides seamless operation of multiple VIERA Link compatible Panasonic devices by using the PT-AR100 remote control. Needless to say, PT-AR100 is yet another means of enriching the big screen entertainment experience.
