MUMBAI: SAP, provider of ebusiness software solutions, has brought out a new
version of mySAP Customer Relationship Management (mySAP CRM) product for Asian
customers.
Addressing the media here recently, Sathyavrath Krishnaswamy, director,
business development-CRM, SAP Asia, said that the new version would give
companies the ability to seamlessly connect and align people, processes and
knowledge throughout their entire value network around their customers for
greater gains.
He maintained that the new version would enable companies to tightly
integrate across the enterprise with the open architecture of mySAP CRM that
works with both SAP and non-SAP applications. He continued saying that the new
version would couple with the integrated analytic capability.
Presently, SAP has a customer base of thousand companies using CRM globally.
Speaking to CNS, Krishnaswamy said that the new product would initially focus on
manufacturing and target financial institutions. He hoped to tap 70 per cent of
the market share already using SAP CRM and 30 per cent of the new, evolving
market in Asia.
Commenting on the CRM trends, Tim Tyler, chairman, Peppers & Roggers
Group (Asia), disclosed that in the current slow down scenario companies would
resort to CRM to create customer-value leadership and to retain customers.
