New board of directors for EPIA

BRUSSELS, BELGIUM: Members of the European Photovoltaic Industry Association (EPIA) have elected a new Board of Directors.

Oliver Schäfer, SunPower, has been elected as the new EPIA president. Three VPs and four directors were also elected.

Riccardo Amoroso, head of Solar Joint Ventures - Enel Green Power SpA; Murray Cameron, executive Board member - Phoenix Solar AG; and Jodie Roussell, head of Public Affairs, Europe & North Africa - Trina Solar (Schweiz) AG, were appointed Vice-Presidents of the association.

The four directors are Seb Berry, head of External Affairs - Solarcentury; Christian Westermeier, VP, Sales, Marketing & Application Engineering - Wacker Chemie AG; Conrad Burke, global marketing director, DuPont Photovoltaic Solutions - DuPont de Nemours International SARL; Arnaud Chaperon, New Energies Division / Prospective Analysis, Institutional Relations & Communication senior VP - Total.

Reinhold Buttgereit, EPIA Secretary General since May 2011, announced he will step down from his position at the end of the month.
