NetLink’s SalesMIS.net launched in B’lore

BANGALORE: Chennai based NetLink Technologies Ltd. has launched its online

field sales information management solution, SalesMIS.net, in Bangalore. The

product will be marketed and sold by Bangalore based New-Age Business

Consultants, an organization providing business performance improvement

solutions. The newly appointed marketing partner of Netlink, New Age Business

Consultants, will sell the product, in Karnataka and Hosur.

The SalesMIS.net solution was launched in Chennai in October 2001 and has

about 600 to 700 registered users. The company expects to gain about 5,000 to

7,500 registered users from Karnataka by the end of this year. It expects to

have about 100,000 registered users across the country by the end of the next

fiscal. In this regard the company will either signing up with partners or open

up branch offices in Mumbai and Hyderabad. Airconditioning and Refrigeration,

Textiles, Consumer Products, Industrial Products, Financial Services, are some

of the vertical segment that the company is concentrating on marketing their

product.

NetLink managing director, J Krishnan said, "Having access to critical

sales-related MIS (management information system) is the key to managing a sales

force in any company and SalesMIS.net meets this requirement. Since the solution

is hosted on the Internet, user organizations need no additional investment in

hardware or software to use it, and there is no lead time required to start

using the application". The system works on pay-as-you-use model, and the

subscription charges to the service could be as low as Rs.300 per member per

month, he added.

Subscribers to SalesMIS.net are provided with login IDs and passwords. Field

employees can log in from wherever they are on the field, through Internet, and

enter their call reports for the day. They can also enter the details of orders,

collections and balance stock with the channel. Managers can log in and

immediately view all the call reports of such employees under them, and give

their feedback and recommendations on each call. When the field executives log

on the next time, they can view their earlier call reports with their managers'

comments to have the full information to handle their prospects and customers.

Based on the information entered in the call reports, SalesMIS.net provides

product performance reports, executive performance reports, collection reports,

channel stock analysis, and prospect tracking. Executives can view their own

performance reports, whereas managers can view the performance of the entire

sales team under them and can drill-down to individual performance.

Executives and managers can use additional functionality at SalesMIS.net like

the call planner and contact management. All the features are aimed at assisting

sales executives in organizing their activities and providing them with MIS on

their own sales performance, so that they are more effective on the field. And

the power of online MIS would ensure that managers are effectively able to guide

the activities of their field force towards better sales performance.
