BANGALORE: NetKraft Private Limited, the Bangalore-based Indian e-business service company, has announced the launch of kahinbhee.com, a WAP portal. The portal was conceptualized and developed using NetKraft’s unique WAP framework.

Speaking on the launch, NetKraft MD Atul Jalan said, "WAP creates new business opportunities for corporations by providing a new channel for existing services that can keep the end user in touch with the "happenings around him" anytime, anywhere. With kahinbhee.com, NetKraft will be delivering personalized, location-based information in a convenient manner to mobile users. Kahinbhee.com is NetKraft’s initiative to develop a global wireless Internet specification, using NetKraft’s proprietary Design Framework, which brings information and advanced services available on the Internet to the mass market through digital cellular phones, personal digital assistants (PDAs), pagers, two-way radios and other wireless terminals."

The specification enables development of applications that can offer services like breaking news, emergency services, stock quotes, flight schedules and information on restaurants and movie guides to an end user on his or her mobile phone. Kahinbhee.com has been designed and developed by WAP professionals using technologies like WML, WML Scripts, Java, Java Servlets, ASP and JDBC. During the initial phase of operation, the site will cater to Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai.
