NEW DELHI, INDIA: NETGEAR has announced its foray into devices to access 3G and 4G networks and has launched 3G USB modems/dongles for the Indian market.
The USB dongles, which are part of the NETGEAR Aircard range of products, are unlocked and compatible with SIM of all compliant 3G service providers.
The 3G USB dongles will provide easy plug and play connection to access 3G in two high speed modes, 7.2 Mbps and 21.6 Mbps.
Subhodeep Bhattacharya, regional director, India & SAARC, said: "These products are part of NETGEAR's offering targeting the 3G/4G access segment and NETGEAR hopes to extend its global leadership in this segment to India as well. NETGEAR's Aircard range of products offers advanced access technology in 4G, and 3G and we will introduce the entire range of products in India."
The NETGEAR USB dongle comes with a price tag of Rs. 1,590 and will be avaible at all the retail outlets by the end of January.
