MUMBAI: Network Appliance, a unified storage solutions company announced that it has ended its first half of 2005 at the top position in the Networked Storage market in India, tieing with HP at this position.
According to IDC's Quarterly Indian Disk Storage Market reports for Q1 & Q2
CY 2005, NetApp had a market share of 22.4 percent in the networked storage market.
In the market for IP SAN, NetApp continues its leadership with 83 percent market share. In Fiber Channel SAN, NetApp doubled its market share compared to the same period in the previous year.
Sanjit Sinha, Head - Hardware Research, IDC India Ltd. said, "In 2005,
vendors have continued to bring to market more compelling storage
solutions. NetApp, with its Unified Storage architecture, proven operating
system and completion of recent acquisitions, is well positioned to meet
the end-to-end data management needs of enterprises."
