NetApp India forays in to Kolkata

BANGALORE, INDIA: Storage and data management company NetApp announced its foray into the eastern region, with the opening of an office in Kolkata, West Bengal.

The Eastern metropolis will act as the regional hub for the company’s expansion plans across the Eastern region of the country.

NetApp India’s office in Kolkata will focus principally on finding and evaluating large and mid-market opportunities in East India. NetApp India has its presence in Bangalore, New Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai and Pune, and Kolkata will be its seventh office in India.

Simon Green, VP & GM, NetApp Asia Pacific,said: “The decision to start our operations in Kolkata is part of our strategic expansion plan in India that we believe will help customers in this region capitalize on new opportunities, go to market faster and innovate ahead of the competition.”

NetApp will be working closely with the channel ecosystem to address the customer requirements in the East region. While East of India will be covered through partners such as HCL Infosystems and Wipro, Bangladesh will be covered with partners such as Spectrum and Thakral.
