NEW DELHI: Net4India an Internet services and solutions provider has
announced that it would offer Internet telephony services at Rs 4.95 per minute
to the US. The company will be offering PC-to-PC and PC-to-phone calls to the
US, UK, Canada and few countries in Europe.
In addition to this, Net4India will be offering the Internet telephony
services to more than 200 countries in the world. The detailed tariff plan is
available on the website - www.phonewala.com. The users can avail the Internet
telephony services, both offline and online, beginning today.
Net4India is one of the first company to receive the license from DoT to
offer Internet telephony services in India. The company had launched a website
in March - 'phonewala.com' to enable the online bookings of the calling cards to
offer telephony services. The prepaid calling cards will also be available to
the customers through a retail network of 10,000 outlets through 300-350
distributors across the country. Net4India has offered 5000 calling cards to the
users as part of the promotional offer.
Commenting on the tariff structure, Net4India CEO, Jasjit Sawhney said,
"We target to add an average of 30,000 users every month. We are extremely
positive about the Internet telephony adoption in India owing to the phenomenal
response we have received from our website - 'phonewala.com'. We will soon be
announcing our solutions for the corporate segment as well."
The company has tied up with Deltathree, provider of hosted IP-based products
and services, for offering Internet Telephony services.
