Net4 forms new subsidiary in Singapore

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Net4 India Ltd, IP Communication service provider, has announced the opening of its newly formed subsidiary Net4 Singapore Pte Ltd and that it has also been awarded with the Service Based Operator (SBO) license in Singapore.

Under the license, the company will now be able to support a retail and wholesale VoIP business. The new division, headquartered in Singapore will aim to create customer-facing organization and manage the wholesale VOIP business from Singapore for its International Market.

Net4 will establish a new PoP in Singapore for VoIP related services that includes International Calling Card Service (ICC), Toll Free Services, IP Telephony Services, VPN Voice/data services. This adds further value to the strong product portfolio that Net4 carries already. The PoP will be having interconnection to other local and International carriers who have presence in Singapore.

This Interconnection will help Net4 provide an enhanced service quality to all its client base. Net4 will leverage the multiple cable systems like Network i2i, SeMeWe4, Asia America Gateway, APCN2, EAC and C2C that aggregates at Singapore which is the defacto Asia-International hub for many carriers. With the grant of SBO license, Net4 becomes the first Indian company to acquire this license.

Speaking on the launch , Jasjit Sawhney, Chairman & CEO, Net4 said: “By creating a subsidiary in Singapore and aquiring the license we are taking a  step forward in executing one of the company’s growth strategies of significantly increasing our wholesale VoIP business. Further, The expansion of our international network is critical for the company’s growth plans across voice and data services and allows us to extend our service capabilities in key markets outside India."

Keeping in mind the Indian community based in Singapore and the volume of call flow, we have invested and sketched out our business strategy for this fiscal year. With our own multi-carrier interconnected PoP all our international customers and partners shall experience better quality of VoIP calls,” Sawhney added.
