Ness to focus on three verticals in 2008

BANGALORE: Ness Technologies Ltd. today announced that it would focus on three key verticals – the Independent Software Vendors, Financial Services and Life Sciences -- in line with its growth strategy for 2008.

Elaborating on the company’s expansion plans Sachi Gerlitz, CEO, Ness Technologies said, “Keeping in line with our margin and revenue expansion strategy for 2008, we will continue to penetrate the North American and European markets through offshoring, and we plan to continue to grow quickly both organically and through tactical acquisitions.”

“Ness India forms a crucial part of our global best-shore proposition,” added Gerlitz. Speaking about the company’s India business Bharath Kalyanram, president and managing director, Ness Technologies India, said, “I see tremendous upside in the unique global business model and more specifically the opportunity to grow our India business by delivering high value to our customers and employees through innovation, speed of delivery, quality of execution and a tight customer-centric engagement model.”

With offshore development centers in Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune and Chennai, Ness India has 2,500 professionals. Globally the company employs 7,800 professionals.

Ness Technologies reported full year revenue of $474.3 million, for the year ended December 31, 2006. The company recently acquired US company MS9 Consulting.
