MERRIMACK, USA: Neotys, cost effective stress and load testing tools for web applications, today announced NeoLoad 3.0, a major new revision of its web stress testing software.

Advertisment

NeoLoad runs high-load scenarios on web applications to measure performance and robustness prior to deployment. Unlike other web testing tools that require scripting, are overly complex and expensive, NeoLoad is easy-to-use due to its intuitive GUI interface, requires no scripting, provides a rich feature set at a cost effective price point.

“To strengthen the core value of our software, we enhanced NeoLoad to be faster and more efficient, enabling users to meet Web applications deployment deadlines with complete confidence,” said Stephane Jammet, vice president of sales and business development, Neotys.

“NeoLoad has provided customers with tremendous results, for many of them within the first day of use. With NeoLoad organizations can test earlier in the deployment life cycle and assure performance targets before the ‘go live’ date, reducing risks and preventing poor performance,” Jammet added.

NeoLoad supports all web technologies and application server technologies including J2EE, .NET, PHP, AJAX, SOAP, FLEX and Oracle Forms.

New features includes:

Dynamic parameter analysis engine for powerful analysis of test scenarios

Advertisment

NeoLoad has always been able to manage an application’s dynamic parameters without requiring scripts. In its latest version, NeoLoad now offers a brand new and more powerful analysis engine for detecting and correlating test scenarios' dynamic parameters--saving users precious time at the fine-tuning stage.

Pre-Configured Monitoring

Advertisment

NeoLoad includes monitoring modules to monitor a server’s behavior under load. With version 3.0, monitoring modules are now configured automatically for items such as CPU, memory, system indicator, database or web services engine settings. By default, NeoLoad selects the most appropriate performance counters, so the monitors are configured faster and more efficiently.

Report filtering by time period

NeoLoad can now provide a detailed analysis report that automatically summarizes the problem areas in an application's behavior during a particular time period.

Real-Time playback monitoring and debug mode

To check the validity of virtual users during a test, NeoLoad version 3.0 now allows users to monitor each virtual user's activity in real time. This real-time monitoring provides an analysis of the HTTP requests exchanged with the server and a visual rendering of the Web pages.

Rendezvous points

Advertisment

Version 3.0 handles rendezvous points, which allow users to instruct virtual users to wait at a specified point in the scenario before continuing. This can be useful, for example, for understanding how a certain part of the application behaves when subjected to a load peak.

Support for Google Web Toolkit and Oracle Application Server 10.1 monitoring

In addition the technologies already supported such as AJAX, FLEX and Silverlight (see all technologies supported here) NeoLoad 3.0 now provides complete support for Web applications written using the Google Web Toolkit development environment. NeoLoad also supports monitoring for Oracle Application Server 9.x and 10.1.x application servers allowing users to assess the performance of Oracle Forms or Oracle e-business Suite applications.
