What to Study and How to Study

Even after knowing the whole syllabus, some students don’t know what to study or if they somehow manage to divide the concepts according to their preferences they don’t know how to wrap their head around it, so to bring clarity to this, here we explain the major points-

1. Biology NCERT: You have to go through the information multiple times until you have every important point memorized at your fingertips. All the diagrams, all the labelling, the description of the diagrams, even the summary of each chapter is important.

2. For Chemistry, let’s divide it into three sections: Physical, Inorganic and Organic.

3. For Physical chemistry, it is important to practice questions to clear your concepts. And to brush up your concepts more for Physical chemistry practice a book with enough MCQs for each chapter, other than the NCERT.

4. For Inorganic chemistry, studying the theory repeatedly is more important than solving questions.

NCERT is very important!

NCERT is vital for inorganic, all the reactions, reagents, special properties of compounds should be crystal clear. You should even make notes if you want to. Inorganic chemistry will inevitably involve quite a lot of ratification.

Organic chemistry calls for a very systematic approach. Each chapter in organic links to its previous one and forms a base for the next topics. The most typical organic questions are those with a series of reactions using one starting reactant and asking about the final product, tests how systemized and directional your thinking is. So be it nomenclature or isomerism, alcohol or phenols; make sure you devote proper time to each of these topics. Don’t forget to remember all the named reactions that are given in the NCERT.

Lastly, for physics, practice is the only thing that can make you perfect in it. Build up concepts to tackle higher-level questions. You might go wrong while solving the first few questions, but make this becomes a reason for you to study more and improve yourself. Chapters like Mechanical Properties, EM waves etc. often seem very boring and difficult to retain. So keep studying these again and again, till you memorize them properly.

Best Way to Prepare Notes

The best way to condense your syllabus for NEET 2021 is to prepare notes while studying. Few days/ weeks before exams it is your notes on which you can fully rely on, you don’t have to go through heavy books!

So, notes should always be exam oriented, make sure you prepare notes only when the concept is clear in your head. Here are few tips to prepare notes subject wise-

1. Physics – Every important formula should be in your notes followed by the key derivation points. Keep it brief, for example-1-2 pages are enough for a chapter. The more concise notes are, the easier it is to keep on fingertips.

2. Chemistry – Organic chemistry should be a priority here. Make noting important formulae your second priority. NCERT books do the job fairly in Physical chemistry and inorganic chemistry. However, you should still extract key points for better results.

3. Biology – Biology is wide as it consists of 2 parts, Botany & Zoology. Make notes of important concepts & of concepts that you often find it difficult to remember. Also, Flow charts can be helpful here.

4. Online Classes: During Covid-19, online classes are a key source to study, therefore, chooses an online course which is short yet effective; less time consuming and that is based on concise learning. For example take- PrepOnline’s ‘Most Wanted’, which consists of all the mentioned features like entire syllabus completion with full revision and doubt solving, everything in just 45 days.

Focus on NCERT & Previous Year Question paper

1. Read NCERT, NCERT and NCERT properly. Don’t read 10 books at a time rather read NCERT 10 times. Solve previous year question papers to understand the Structure but before that, you have to complete your syllabus and should be clear with your concepts.

Mock Tests

1. Join a test series and don't miss a single test from that. Attempting the test isn't quite enough. Test analysis is more important. Do that carefully. It is required for everyone, whether you're a coaching/online/DLP student or depend on self-study.

2. On a lighter note, there are some common instructions as well for every type of NEET 2021 Aspirants (11th, 12th, dropper or repeater) for example: Quit Social media, utilize your time as much as you can, Don't create any new relationship and friendship goals for some time. Choose your company wisely. Don’t interact with distracted people who aren't serious for their aim. They'll eventually end up distracting you well. Don't pass your work on tomorrow because later it will be a burden on you which will be harder for you to complete. And you'll have to drop some topics and you can't afford that. So get up and focus on this very second.

3. Focus and utilize every second of the time remaining for the NEET 2021 Preparation. Instead of getting anxious one should stay motivated and relaxed.

4. Preparation of Today’s would be the result of tomorrow. Be in your Best Mode and give it all. Yes, it isn’t easy, it’s a roller coaster ride with more downs than ups, but it’s worth it.

We wish you all the luck.
