BANGALORE, INDIA: With a heritage of supercomputer and mainframe computing, NEC delivers Express5800/Scalable HA servers.

The servers offer enterprise-class scalability with a building block structure. This modular design would allow servers to be stacked in a rack to meet increasing demands of business-critical applications. The A1160 model allows IT managers to start small with minimal expense and scale up seamlessly to four nodes. With high availability technology for uninterrupted operations, the Scalable HA Servers would be an ideal platform for mission-critical applications.

The NEC Express5800/A1160 had been designed specifically to exploit the functionality of Intel's next generation Expandable Xeon 7440 and 7460 (6-Core) CPU to deliver unsurpassed consolidation and reliability. NEC's A1160 system architecture would feature an efficiently scalable, highly reliable, and easily serviceable solution perfect for system consolidation, virtualisation deployments, and enterprise database applications. Each A1160 system can scale from 1-node, 4-sockets, 24-cores, and 256 GB memory, to 4-nodes, 16-sockets, and 96-cores.
