Chennai-based Nebula Technologies Private Ltd.
has been made distributor for Accton's networking products (hubs and
switches). The company is involved in distribution of Intel networking
products, CPUs and motherboards at the higher-end market. "With
Accton, we will be catering to the lower-end segment," said Nebula
Technologies Business Manager Networking S. Murali. The only other major
distributor for Accton in Chennai is Godrej. The company has also tied up
with Kewaltronics for reselling of Intel and Accton products.
An order to distribute Intel switches has been acquired by Nebula
Technologies at Mumbai. "Earlier we were only dealing with Intel's
Ethernet cards, but now we have diversified into their other products as
well. In fact we have had a 17-year relationship with Intel."
Nebula Technologies is planning to open offices in smaller cities like
Coimbatore, Pune, Lucknow, Jaipur and Chandigarh. The company currently
has branches in Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad and Secunderabad.
Outside India, Nebula has operations in Singapore and the US as well.
The company is involved in manufacturing Q-Max brand of PCs, CDROMS,
motherboards, modems and AGP controllers. It has a manufacturing plant in
Chennai for this purpose. Some of the company's clients include Gemini
Communications, Accel, Vel Computers, Samtech and Precision.
The company's future plans include introducing structured cabling
products. "We want to deal with the entire range of networking
products," said Murali. Nebula Technologies is in the process of
hiring networking professionals in Chennai, Hyderabad and Bangalore.
"We are looking at specialists in networking - to form a complete
team. Recruitment is already over in Delhi and Mumbai," added he.
