Navision rolls out latest suite for SMEs

BANGALORE: Navision, the Microsoft Business Solutions Distributor in India, has launched the Microsoft Business Solution — Navision (MBS- Navision) version 3.6 IN, earlier called Attain. The new revised solution has been localized according to Indian needs and laws by Navision India.

MBS — Navision version 3.6 covers functions related to export import (EXIM) orders and incentives, letter of credit (LC) and all aspects related to sales tax, excise tax and tax deducted at source (TDS). MBS—Navision is also VAT compliant.

In addition to the above functions, some new dimensions and features have been added to the solution. Some of the new features, include, MS Excel analysis views, warehouse management systems, service price management.



On the launch Mr. Yash Nagpal, Managing Director, Navision India said, "With this localization drive and the addition of the new unique modules, we are moving in the right direction of luring more and more of the SME market."



Most of the companies that will use the new version package, such as, EXIM houses, tax consultancy firms, chartered accountants outfits are in the small and medium enterprise segment. There are very few large enterprises in this space.



He further added that, "The SME’s in India do not have overflowing coffers to spare. They need an application suite with ‘must-have’ features that meet the current minimum requirements as opposed to opting for a solution with ‘nice-to-have’ functionalities."



The uniqueness of the MBS — Navision version 3.6 solutions lies in its scalability and flexibility. Depending on the needs of the organization, the different modules of the application can either be implemented as one integrated enterprise solution or as one module at a time.
