NASSCOM unveils foundation stone for new headquarters at Noida

NEW DELHI, INDIA: The National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) unveiled the foundation stone of NASSCOM's Noida Headquarters at the hands of Akhilesh Yadav, chief minister, Uttar Pradesh. KK Natarajan, chairman, NASSCOM and Som Mittal, president, NASSCOM, along with other industry leaders and government representatives present at the occasion.

NASSCOM has devised plans to setup its warehouse facility in Noida as part of the 10,000 Start-ups initiative to scale up the startup ecosystem in India. The Startup Warehouse has been introduced to create a micro-ecosystem where startups and entrepreneurs can work together, share their learning's and best practices with each other. NASSCOM also plans other such facilities across key cities in the country, to provide world class infrastructure to tech startups at a highly affordable cost.

In the light of escalating threats and the magnitude of potential risk-not only for organizations but, for the economy, there is a need to govern these risks to eliminate their devastating impact. NASSCOM has been committed in its effort to reduce such risks and has undertaken various initiatives to train resources in cyber security and conduct regular background checks of employees.

NASSCOM, as part of its ongoing initiative to combat cybercrimes, also announced its new cyber security lab in Noida that will be based in the NASSCOM Headquarters. To further build India as a key secure sourcing destination the facility will actively promote data protection and develop security and privacy codes and standards.

NASSCOM also plans to use their campus to facilitate networking and enhanced interactions amongst members of the industry.
