NASSCOM recognizes emerging start-ups

BANGALORE, INDIA: NASSCOM recently announced that the organization has recognized the top ten emerging companies in India.

Emerging companies play a pivotal role in the development of any industry, and for the IT–BPO industry emerging companies represent innovation, agility and entrepreneurship which are critical for the next wave of leadership, said a press release.

In an effort to recognize the emerging enterprises, NASSCOM honored leaders in emerging companies at the third edition of EMERGEOUT Conclave.

The event aims to draw strategies to catalyze the huge growth opportunity that exists in the SME segment.

The theme this year “Software as a Servive” (SaaS), and “On Demand Computing” captures the thought process of the decision makers to adopt the “pay as you use” structure.

The top ten emerging companies include A1 Future Technologies, ABM Knowledgeware Limited, AISECT LIMITED,  Attra Infotech Pvt Ltd, Eka Software Solutions Pvt Ltd,  InfoSoft Global (P) Ltd, Mann-India Technologies Private Limited, Myndsolutions Pvt Ltd., PharmARC Analytic Solutions, and S7 Software Solutions Pvt  Ltd.

Som Mittal, president, NASSCOM said, “Emerging companies have witnessed a phenomenal growth rate of over 30-40 per cent in the last few years. Delivery models have been changed to meet customer demands and there is enhanced focus on growth opportunities in areas such as healthcare, e-learning, BFSI, mobile and internet.”

He further added, “NASSCOM congratulates the Emerge 50 leaders as well as rest of the shortlisted companies. The objective of this initiative is to identify emerging companies who can emerge as leaders to achieve the industry vision for the year 2020."

205 entries were received from 22 cities with breakup across the four categories being approximately 37 in the Growth category, 67 in services, 58 in Products and 43 in Markets.

50 companies were shortlisted from the applications out of which the 10 finalists were honoured at the event. The jury members met with 50 companies from all over India and gave an opportunity for the companies to present their services/products or models which have been adapted for growing the non-traditional/domestic market base, said the release.

Further, NASSCOM would also work with the EMERGE 50 companies to mentor them and help them in scaling and growth strategies, it added.

NASSCOM EMERGE initiative is targeted at emerging companies from India that are redefining the benchmark of excellence for the Indian IT industry.
