BANGALORE: Nasscom has opened its third regional office in Hyderabad, as part of its expansion plans to establish local presence in major cities across the country. Nasscom’s veteran Colonel Ramachadran would be heading the Nasscom’s initiatives in the region. The office will be based in Kakatiya Sheraton.

Nasscom, President, Kiran Karnik, said, "Hyderabad has all the qualities of an attractive IT destination in India including a progressive policy framework, stable infrastructure, skilled technical manpower and a tech savvy leader in Chandrababu Naidu. The State has clearly recognized that IT should play a significant role in realizing its policy objectives like economic development, enhancing the quality of life and providing good governance. Opening of a Nasscom office will now help us better serve our member companies and also effectively interact with the Andhra Pradesh government on an ongoing basis to catalyze new initiatives."

"We are very pleased that Col. Ramachandran who has been with Nasscom in Delhi for over a decade would be heading our Hyderabad office. He has been instrumental in building and developing a strong member network across the country," he added.

Nasscom has two other regional offices in Mumbai and Bangalore. The regional offices would strengthen the software association’s role across India and help towards its objective of further addressing the domestic and software exports market.
