Kiran Karnik, NASSCOM president, said, "We are pleased to announce our collaboration with the CBI to promote business activities between two regions. Through agreements like this we aim to achieve the success of the IT and BPO sectors to drip down from the major industrial cities to smaller cities that will benefit the industries and economies of Europe and India."

"This is a win-win agreement for SMEs in the Netherlands and Europe as well as in India. The success of India in the fields of IT and IT-enabled services is considerable, but we wish to see more European firms, particularly SMEs by entering into sustainable partnerships with our companies thereby leveraging vast potential of Indian SMEs segment too." he added.

On signing the agreement, Ton Lansink, managing director, CBI said, "This agreement offers us a chance to create a highway for SMEs where until now there was not even a footpath. For European buyers the CBI and NASSCOM will be on hand as knowledge centers to help them formulate exactly what their outsourcing demand is and to help them find a perfectly matching partner. Indian entrepreneurs can count on us to provide maximum assistance exporting to Europe. It's a double-edged sword from which all parties will benefit."
