NASSCOM and CIO Klub sign MoU to add new capabilities to IT industry

NASSCOM (National Association of Software and Services Companies), an association for IT/ITeS Companies, and the CIO Klub of India, a successful collaborative initiative of CIO Association has signed a distinct MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) in Mumbai.

The MoU exchange happened between Ms. Debjani Ghosh, President, NASSCOM and Mr. Umesh Mehta, President, CIO Klub. With the new collaboration would help to promote the industry with new capabilities.

Umesh Mehta, President, CIO Klub, stated, “We are pleased to embark on this path with NASSCOM. With this collaboration, CIOs would share industry insights and best-practice perspectives while gaining from NASSCOM’s access and facilitation in specific areas. We intend to plan interactive sessions with the start-up community to capture some upcoming innovations & latest technology developments. CIOs can share their expert views which would help, guide & mentor the start-up ecosystem.”.

Under this, a new CIO SIG (Special Interest Group) has also created, which will have members from CIO Klub representing the CIO community in India. They will guide and mentor large companies SMEs and Start-ups to edify them as specialized value-based industry players. Mehta explained that CIOs would share industry insights and best-practice perspectives while gaining from NASSCOM’s access and facilitation in specific areas.

Founded in 2008, CIO Klub is the largest non-profit association of Chief Information Officers in India. It has a strong presence across the nation in India's most strategic cities (Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Bangalore, Pune, Chennai, and Coimbatore).
