BANGALORE, INDIA: Nasscom's, the premier trade body of the India IT-BPO industry, second edition of 'Product Conclave' was kicked off today. The two-day summit (from August 11-12) will furnish an exclusive first-time platform for product companies to display and demonstrate products at 'Product Expo".

Nasscom also released a report, on product business in India that aims to define a roadmap on the market opportunities and key recommendation to help India emerge a 'product' country, titled "Nasscom Software product Study: Outlook for Indian Software Product Businesses".

Sangeetha Gupta, VP, Nasscom, said: "While India has won global recognition as a BPO and software-services powerhouse, the indigenous software product sector is at an early stage of development. We need to ensure adequate support and create an ecosystem that is suited for the growth of this segment, giving its promising potential of achieving revenues in the range of $9.5-12 billion by fiscal 2015. We hope to make a beginning towards this objective through the report and product expo."

The conclave offers delegates an in-depth insight into the opportunities for the product industry, best practices on product management and networking opportunities with venture capitals and angel investors.
