BANGALORE: The National Association of Software and Service Companies (Nasscom)
has announced that it will be holding "the first mega IT show of the
millennium Nasscom 2000'', in Mumbai early next year.
The event, to be held between February 2 and February 5, will focus on
'Business to Business' (B2B) issues, Nasscom President Dewang Mehta said. The
event will comprise an international business conference and exhibition, an
emerging technologies forum for chief technology officers and an industry
leadership summit.
The exhibition would be held on the grounds behind the World Trade Centre in
Mumbai. One of the distinctive features of the event will be a special 'dot.com'
pavilion, said Mr. Mehta. This will showcase Internet and e-commerce trends,
including e-banking, e-education, e-healthcare and e-retail. There will also be
a special section, the 'start-up corner' for start-ups and e-retail companies.
According to Mr. Mehta, more than 700 delegates from 23 countries will
participate.
