MTS launches Internet service in Jharkand

GURGAON:MTS, the mobile telephony services brand of Sistema Shyam Teleservices Ltd (SSTL) on Thursday announced the launch of its new and innovative mobile broadband Internet access service, MBlaze for the first time in the State.

MBlaze service is offered for a price of Rs.2/MB. MTS said it has a large seamless high-speed mobile data services network in India offering speeds of up to 3.1 Mbps in as many as 48 cities across India.

MTS is the first to bring mobile broadband Internet access with speeds up to 3.1 Mbps to Jharkhand, it claimed in a press release. The company had already launched its mobile Internet service earlier in the State.

The USB modem offered by MBlaze will consists of two different specifications MBlaze Premium and MBlaze Standard respectively. MBlaze will be available in Ranchi, Dhanbad and Jamshedpur of Jharkhand.

There will be no roaming charges using MBlaze in the 48 cities including that of neighboring cities Patna, Durgapur, Asansol. MBlaze is already available in all metro cities of India including, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkatta, Bangalore and Chennai.

Leonid Musatov, chief marketing officer of SSTL said: “We are happy to bring the high speed Internet access services to Jharkhand for the first time in Jharkhand. Data services are going to expand beyond the metros with people demanding real time information and knowledge.”

Keshhav Tiwary, chief operating officer, West Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand Circle of MTS said: “All our base transmitting stations (BTS) in Ranchi, Jamshedpur & Dhanbad are high speed data enabled and hence MBlaze subscribers will have seamless connectivity anywhere in and around these three towns.”
