MSME sector targets 15 p.c. annual growth

NEW DELHI, INDIA: The MSME ministry on Thursday informed that it is targeting 15 per cent annual growth for the sector in the 12th Five Year Plan.

In an event organised by the Ficci here, MSME secretary R. K. Mathur urged industry experts to give suggestions on the modalities that can be worked out and included in the Five Year Plan document.

He also said that the ministry would focus on six issues that includes credit, infrastructure, skill development, marketing, exports, and organizational innovation.

Mathur also said the ministry has a strategy in provision regarding MSME growth. “We have looked for funding. We do not know how much funding would come but we will see how best to optimize the money that the ministry gets."
