At the MSI exclusive brand-shop, consumers will be able to browse and access detailed product literature, while trained personnel will be on hand to explain product features and help customers derive an 'MSI experience' before making purchase decisions.

Moreover, customers will be able to customize the looks and configuration of their preferred model through a menu of options before placing their order.

“The exclusive MSI store is a step towards enhancing the overall purchase experience for consumers in India. With this new outlet, we offer our customers the touch and feel for MSI branded netbooks and notebooks within a unique shopping experience,” said Tony Yang, MD—India, MSI.

As an introductory offer, freebies like wireless keyboard and mouse etc would be given on every sale at the new store through the month of March. MSI India is on a major expansion drive to enhance direct brand visibility and reach to customers, as part of its focus on the retail market.

The company had recently announced the setting up of its first branded retail access point within a store, in the Nehru Place market in New Delhi. In another development, MSI had tied-up with some large format retailers (LFRs).

According to Yang, “Since a large chunk of consumers still prefer to buy the notebooks from small to medium-size outlets, we are adopting this strategy of opening new storefronts in locations that are already known IT centers or prominently located.”

Customers already have the option to buy MSI models through MSI’s direct phone-based sales teams, and through large retail chains like Croma, Big Bazaar and Reliance Digital. MSI plans to open around 80 exclusive brand-shops in metros across the country within this year.
