MSDN in India to become 2nd largest

BANGALORE: India is renowned for its IT talent pool. To prove its supremacy, the country is all set to capture the second spot, behind the U.S. as the largest Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN) world.



While the developer community of MSDN in India cruising at one million and about half a million in professional community members, the network is poised to beat Japan to the second spot.



"The developer community in India is growing at a rapid space by the day. We at Microsoft work very closely with the community to provide all assistance for the members. Initiatives, such Channel9 and Software GreenHouse are efforts to bring together the developer community to make use of the resources that are made available by Microsoft and also a platform to exchange information," said Sheila Gulati, Director - Developer and Platform Evangelism, Microsoft India.



According to Gulati, some of the goals for Microsoft's developer network in India are to drive the education for developers in India and also to develop the community of developer.
