NEW YORK: Goldman Sachs analyst Rick Sherlund reiterated his market
outperform rating on software maker Microsoft Corp. on Monday.
Sherlund, one of Wall Street's most influential analysts covering Microsoft,
said in a report that Microsoft had no plans to pre-announce results "as
business appears to be tracking in line with expectations."
He said Microsoft, the world's biggest maker of personal computer software
"remains comfortable with our revenue and EPS (earnings-per-share)
estimates of $5.65 billion and 41 cents for the September quarter."
Shares of Microsoft, a component of the Dow Jones industrial average , closed
on Friday at $64-3/16.
