Speaking on the reason why Microsoft conducted such a training session with the association, PN Prasad, President, Confed-ITA shared, “Microsoft has got products in various categories, with different licensing being issued, along with other technicalities involved. But dealers are not aware of such details and this causes a lot of problems to both the vendor and dealers. Hence, Microsoft has agreed to train dealers in the region. The vendor also gave away Windows 7 Beta DVDs to the Presidents of the concerned associations in Ooty, Tirupur, Karur, Salem and Erode.” He further informed that people requiring these DVDs can enroll their names with him.

Prasad shared that his association, along with Microsoft will also be holding a ‘Retail Outlet Staff’ training session in June. As part of this training session, the people working in the retail outlets will be professionally trained by Microsoft on various technologies and skills required.

Confed-ITA is also in touch with other vendors, who can provide training to the dealers regarding their range of products. Talks of the association with Samsung is in final stage, and the company will soon be conducting its training sessions for the partners in the region.
