BANGALORE: MRO-Tek Ltd., provider of networking and access solutions, has
announced a 35 per cent dip in revenues. It posted a Rs 81.27 crore revenue for
the financial year 2001-02 as against Rs 125.43 crore for the year
2000-2001.Company's profits also dipped by about 62 per cent as the company
posted a profit after tax of Rs 6.94 crore during 2001-02 as against profit
after tax of Rs 18.24 crore for the previous year.
As part of its new initiative, it plans to tie up with local companies in
Malaysia and Maldives and has also opened marketing offices in Mumbai, Delhi,
Hyderabad and Chennai.
MRO-Tek, chairman and managing director, S Narayanan, while making this
announcement in Bangalore said that the company has invested Rs 2 crore for
research and development and has been taking steps to improve the company
further.
"We has added new products to its portfolio and are in the process of going
into a joint venture with a Malaysian firm, Afintra", Narayanan added. The
company has also strengthened its ties with RAD Communications Israel by setting
up a R&D centre to jointly research and develop products
