MphasiS Q3 net up 38 per cent

BANGALORE, INDIA: The MphasiS Group has posted net profit of Rs 66.3 crore, for the third quarter ended December 31, 2007, up by 38 per cent from Rs 48.1 crore posted for the corresponding quarter previous year.

The firm’s consolidated revenues for the quarter grew by 39 per cent to Rs 632 crore from Rs 455 crore, posted for the same quarter a year ago.

"Revenues grew by 66 per cent in 2007 compared to 2006, fuelled by growth in all business lines. We will continue to make investments in resources and infrastructure to support future growth and broaden our service offerings going forward in 2008," said Deepak Patel, managing director and Group COO.

During the quarter, the company added 18 new clients, including the 11 through EDS. It now has 89 clients with an annualized run rate of more than one million dollars.

The Group recorded a net headcount increase of 2,158 with BPO and ITO services growing by 1,614 and 438 and applications services growing marginally. The headcount for the group stands at 26,236 as on December 31, 2007.
