MphasiS launches BPO operations in Raipur

RAIPUR, INDIA: IT and BPO services provider MphasiS today announced the opening of a new Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) centre in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

The centre would provide services to Idea Cellular.

The centre was formally inaugurated by Dr. Raman Singh, Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh today in the presence of Ramesh Bais, Member of Parliament, Raipur and Brijmohan Agrawal, Minister-Public Works Department, School Education and Parliamentary Affairs, Chhattisgarh.

In line with its hub-and-spoke model, MphasiS’ Raipur centre would be part of its network of centres and act as a spoke in the region, working closely with the MphasiS’ Indore Hub, said a press release.

The new BPO centre in Raipur highlights the company’s leadership in identifying talent in non-urban India. The BPO centre would eventually house over 500 employees and aims to expand exponentially, thus creating job opportunities in the state.

“We are very delighted that MphasiS has chosen to invest in Chhattisgarh to set up their BPO centre.” said Dr. Raman Singh, CM of Chhattisgarh after he inaugurated the centre.

He added that they extended their complete support to MphasiS in their endeavor to build its presence in Chhattisgarh. This would act as a catalyst to spur economic growth in the region.

He added that the talent in the state, combined with MphasiS’ expertise and domain knowledge in delivering business process offerings would further enhance their unparalleled customer services to Idea subscribers.
