BANGALORE: MphasiS plans to introduce e-business solutions for the Indian
industry and achieve a revenue target of $6 million. MphasiS chairman and
co-founder Jerry Rao said the company would be successful in achieving this
revenue target in its first year of operations.
The company has decided to enter the Indian industry following the success in
providing e-business solutions in the US and Europe, Mr Rao said. India was
primarily its largest development base for design, development and support to
provide Web-enabled solutions for global companies, including start-up Internet
companies. The focus now is to work closely with companies and financial
institutions to develop e-business solutions that could become critical business
tools and to deliver enterprise-wide customer relationship management.
The company has provided solutions for global companies, but in India has
offered this only to ICICI, where it acted not only as an architectural
consultants but also developed Web-enabled call centres. Mr Rao said that
revenue for the next year would include a revenue turnover of 10 per cent from
the Indian industry. He added that 70 per cent of the revenue came from the US,
20 per cent from Europe and the rest from other operations of the company.
