BANGALORE, INDIA: Mphasis, a leading IT solutions provider, today announced the appointment of Rajeev Sawhney as the president - strategic business to accelerate the pace of transformational growth of Mphasis' direct business.
Rajeev Sawhney will be part of the Mphasis leadership team reporting into Ganesh Ayyar, CEO MphasiS. He is currently based in the UK.
Rajeev joins Mphasis from HCL Technologies where he was president - Europe business and global head - Public Services. In his role, Rajeev played a key role in building the European business for HCL to what it is today and managing the strategic direction of the company to deliver IT services globally to customers in Energy, Utilities, Government, Defence, Travel, Transportation & Logistics industries. Rajeev has worked with customers across North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
Prior to HCL, Rajeev was the business head and member of management board for HCL-Hewlett Packard Limited (HCL's joint venture with Hewlett Packard).
Rajeev has been passionately leading the charge on combating the global challenge of Climate Change. He is a keen supporter of ‘Green initiatives' and has been a representative in World Economic Forum on related issues.

Rajeev holds a bachelor of commerce degree and a post graduate diploma in HR from University of Delhi. He studied strategic management at the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta; Corporate Finance at the London Business School and completed a Leadership Program at Eastern Illinois University, USA.
