SAN FRANCISCO, USA: MovieLaLa, a social network and movie-marketing platform for upcoming movies, launched the MovieLaLa app for iPad.
The new app helps one share and discover coming attractions through a personalized Hollywood feed, share their favourites with friends and find friends to go to the movies with.
Currently available as an iPad app, MovieLaLa plans to roll out iPhone and Android apps for its movie-centric social network in the coming weeks.
Dana Loberg, CEO and co-founder of MovieLaLa, said: "We are excited to share MovieLaLa with the world. By connecting your movie taste with movies your friends are interested in, MovieLaLa makes discovering your next favorite film easier than ever before. The social experience is a huge part of moviegoing, but it previously hadn't successfully made the jump to our online lives. MovieLaLa captures that missing element and makes moviegoing fun again."
MovieLaLa serves as a movie marketing platform for upcoming films, leveraging its data and analytics to enable studios to gain insights from target audience data and increase buzz prior to theatrical releases.
MovieLaLa is building out relationships in Hollywood with nearly a dozen major film studios, including 20th Century Fox, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Walt Disney Pictures, Warner Bros., Universal Studios, Paramount Pictures, Lionsgate, Relativity Media, Focus Features, Participant Media and Exclusive Media.
